The FERC has announced that it will host two virtual staff-led webinars regarding energy and ancillary services markets administered by Regional Transmission Organizations and Independent System Operators. {expires: 2021-10-13}
The conferences will occur as follows:
- Technical Conference One: Tuesday, September 14, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET
- Technical Conference Two: Tuesday, October 12, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET
The September 14th conference will feature panelists discussing the following matters:
- Understanding the need for additional operational flexibility in RTO/ISO energy and ancillary services markets
- Revising existing operating reserve demand curves (ORDCs) to address operational flexibility needs in RTOs/ISOs
- Market design issues and tradeoffs to consider in reforms to increase operational flexibility in RTO/ISO energy and ancillary services markets
- Creating new products to address operational flexibility needs in RTOs/ISOs
Both conferences will be presented via webcast and are open to the public. Registration is not required and there is no fee to attend.
