The SEC has announced a virtual Investor Advisory Committee meeting that will take place on Thursday, December 2, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. ET. The public may attend this free event, which will be presented live via webcast at
sec.gov.

The meeting will cover committee matters, including subcommittee reports and an announcement regarding a Disclosure Subcommittee. Panels discussing the following topics will also be featured:
- The SEC’s Potential Role in Addressing Elder Financial Abuse Issues
- Crypto and Digital Assets: Helping to Ensure Investor Protection and Market Integrity in the Face of New Technologies
- Recommendations regarding Individual Retirement Accounts
The Investor Advisory Committee is comprised of members who represent diverse investor interests, including seniors, individual and institutional investors, and state securities commissions. The Committee was established under Section 911 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 to counsel the SEC on: (1) promoting investor confidence and the integrity of the securities marketplace; (2) regulatory priorities and the regulation of securities products, (3) trading strategies and fee structures, and (4) the effectiveness of disclosure and initiatives to protect investor interests.
