The SEC has announced that its Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee will hold a remote meeting to discuss matters related to the rules and regulations affecting small and emerging companies and their investors under the federal securities laws. The Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee was established under SEC Small Business Advocate Act of 2016. The Committee provides a formal means for the SEC to receive guidance on rules, regulations and policy matters concerning small businesses, including smaller public companies. The Committee meets quarterly and all meetings are open to the public.
