XBRL US has announced that it will host two virtual seminars to familiarize investment management filers with the new SEC XBRL requirements under the SEC’s final rule,
Securities Offering Reform for Closed-End Investment Companies, which will be effective August 1, 2022.

The webinars will occur as follows:
- Session One: Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern
- Session Two: Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern
The May 24th webinar will begin the series covering the new disclosure requirements, which include structured data format (XBRL) requirements designed to make financial information simpler for investors to analyze and facilitate automation of regulatory filings and business information processes.
The remote event will feature speakers who will discuss and review:
- how to recognize which items need to be tagged and the proper procedures
- how to determine where samples provided by the SEC are and how to use them
- how to locate where facts required to be tagged appear in filings
The webinar will be led by seasoned XBRL providers with decades of experience in working with investment management filers on SEC submissions. The event will feature presentations by industry professionals including:
