The Joint Federal-State Task Force on Electric Transmission has announced that its upcoming meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 20 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET. The Task Force meetings are free for the public to attend via webcast, and registration is not required. At this meeting, the Task Force will discuss the following:
- Interregional Transmission Planning & Transmission Project Development
- FERC’s NOPR–Building for the Future Through Electric Regional Transmission Planning and Cost Allocation and Generator Interconnection, Docket No. RM21-17-000 (issued April 21, 2022)

The Task Force was established by the FERC and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) in June 2021 and is comprised of the FERC Commissioners and ten state regulators representing the five NARUC regions. The partnership allows state and federal regulators to work side-by-side on various transmission issues.
