Version 6.3a of GoFiler has been released. This release corresponds to EDGAR 25.3 and contains corrections and
improvements to the filer management tools for EDGAR Next. Additionally, improvements and corrections have been made to the Fee Exhibit Editor, the Form 13F Module, and Data View.
Please use the Check for Updates function to update your software to the latest version.
What’s in the Release
GoFiler Basic Application
– Updated the First Run Wizard to be compliant with EDGAR Next.
GoFiler Complete Application
– Updated the First Run Wizard to be compliant with EDGAR Next.
GoFiler+ Application
– Corrected an issue where extra validation should have been performed on HTML files when any EDGAR modules are installed.
– Updated the First Run Wizard to be compliant with EDGAR Next.
EDGAR iXBRL Fee Exhibit Editor
– Removed the “Total Fees Previously Paid” field in the summary section of the FEE template for Form S-8.
– Corrected the functionality of the ‘Calculate’ button for the summary table for Form S-8.
– Added fee lookup, item calculation and summary calculation features for Form 424I.
– Added an interest calculation dialog for Item 16 on Form 424I.
– Added Edit Content (Ctrl+E) support for the Fee Rate field(s) (Item 12) on Form 424I.
General EDGAR Updates
– Updated to EDGAR 25.3.
– Corrected an issue where the Check Rates function would not download the Fee Rate Table.
– The default SEC error messages from many API requests have been replaced with shorter messages.
– The application should now treat EDGAR being unavailable as a canceled operation when looking up CIKs.
– The preferences have been updated to remove all references to older EDGAR items
– Corrected an issue where an API tokens expiration date could be converted from UTC to the local time zone incorrectly.
– The validation for 424I should no longer flag fee data as required if “Attach inline XBRL Filing Fee Exhibit” is checked.
– Added quick keys Ctrl+PgUp and Ctrl+PgDon to navigate up and down the left tab index pane.
– The application should now retrieve the mailing address when looking up a CIK.
– The “Hide CCCs” option is no longer tied to the “Summary Page” option when a Section 16 document is included in the project.
Form 13F and SHO Updates
– Corrected an issue that would cause the application to repeat the same error message multiple times if an import exceeded the maximum allowed rows for Form SHO.
– The application should now use the mailing address when comparing company data against the EDGAR System for Forms 13F and SHO.
– The “Total Table Entries” and “Total Table Values” fields are now compared against the count of entries in the Form 13F Information Table.

– Added a quick key (Ctrl+F7) for script preprocess.
– Added a function to return the EDGAR version supported by the application.
– Added functions to create and interact with a WebView Object.
