On May 26, 2021, the FERC published a staff white paper examining hybrid resources and a notice soliciting related feedback. On January 19, 2021, the agency directed each Regional Transmission Organization and Independent System Operator (RTO/ISO) to submit by July 19, 2021 informational reports covering issues pertaining to hybrid resources, which are resources that share a point of interconnection and incorporate at least two different resource types. The FERC’s Division of Dam Safety and Inspections will hold a remote seminar featuring its recently developed Emergency Action Plans (EAP) Exercise Design Course to discuss both the FERC requirements that there be a comprehensive EAP exercise as well as the steps required to develop, conduct, evaluate, and follow-up on an effective exercise. The sessions will be led by presenters Dustin Kaste and Carrie Harris and will take place Wednesday, June 2, 2021 and Thursday, June 3, 2021.
