On October 18th, the SEC announced it is partnering with the National Center for Middle Market at The Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business to host the SEC’s annual Government-Business Forum on Small Business Capital Formation. The Government-Business Forum, which is an annual forum providing a platform to highlight additional measures to improve small business capital formation, will be held on December 12th.
The morning session of the forum will include panel discussions exploring how capital formation options are working for small businesses. Small group activities will then follow where participants will formulate specific policy recommendations. More information, including panel participants and the full agenda, will be announced in coming weeks through the forum webpage.
The forum, which will be held in the Fawcett Center on the campus of the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, will be open to the public. It will begin at 9 a.m. Eastern Time, and the opening remarks and panel discussions will be webcast live on the SEC’s home page. The small group sessions will be accessible by teleconference for those not attending in person. Anyone wishing to participate in these small group sessions must first register online by December 7th. Members of the public may also suggest recommendations or topics to be discussed at the forum by calling the SEC’s Office of Small Business Policy at (202) 551-3460.
