Overview
The IsAlphaNumeric function tests if a character contains only alphabetic or numeric characters (ASCII).
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
boolean = IsAlphaNumeric ( char value );
Parameters
value
A char to test. The character can be any type that will resolve to an ASCII alpha character or digit.
Return Value
Returns TRUE if value is an ASCII alphabetic or numeric character or FALSE if it is not.
Remarks
The IsAlphaNumeric function checks for only ASCII alphabetic and numeric characters. For a broader test, use the IsAlphaNumeric8859 function.
