FASB Releases Proposed 2025 DQCRT for Review and Comment

On September 5th, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) staff issued the Proposed 2025 Data Quality Committee Rules Taxonomy (DQCRT), which details XBRL US’ Data Quality Committee’s (DQC) validation rules for regulator use. SEC Staff to Discuss New Quality Control Standard

The SEC’s Office of the Chief Accountant has announced that it will hold an open meeting to discuss whether to approve the new quality control standard, QC 1000: A Firm’s System of Quality Control, which was originally proposed in November 2022. SEC Adopts Reporting Enhancements for Funds, Provides Guidance on Open-End Fund Liquidity Risk Management Programs

On August 28th, the SEC adopted rules to amend reporting requirements on Form N-PORT that would offer the SEC and investors with greater and more timely information about certain registered investment companies (funds). Form N-PORT reports provide the SEC and the public with important information about a fund’s portfolio holdings and related information to help evaluate a fund’s risks. SEC Rule Modernizes Definition of Qualifying Venture Capital Funds

On August 21st, the SEC adopted a rule to update the dollar threshold for a fund to qualify as a “qualifying venture capital fund” for section 3(c)(1) of the Investment Company Act of 1940. XBRL US Opens Registration for November Conference on Digital Transparency Mandates Affecting Climate, Corporate and Government

XBRL US has announced that KPMG will host a conference to discuss the importance of transparency regarding digital data reporting for climate, business, and government. Presenters also will address the impact of digital requirements introduced by the Financial Data Transparency Act (FDTA) and a number of climate rules under which reporting entities must be in compliance with digital data standards by preparing submissions in Inline XBRL, a structured, machine-readable format that meets these disclosure requirements. New Release (5.23b) for the GoFiler Family of Products

Version 5.23b of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains improvements and corrections to Form N-PX as well as support for the IFRS and SBS 2024 taxonomies. Additionally, this release contains improvements and corrections for EDGAR Submission View, Form N-MFP3 View, the Fee Exhibit Editor, and XDX. See the release notes for more information.

Carbon Accountable Publishes Paper on GHG Emissions Reporting, Encourages Inline XBRL
